Oh crap, I should've cancelled the May kit then as I really dislike most things BG. Will hope that there are other bits in there that I like, lol, and sell off the papers. I get the paper/ribbon kit as well so will have double those papers. Sigh.

Look forward to seeing what's in the trilogy. Is this going to be on a sub basis I wonder, or just an "extra" kit that she puts together from time to time. Didn't read the blog properly, lol.

It seems like many kit folks are going this direction with multiple kits in one these days ;) I already sub to 2 others, one which has been doing this for ages. They are my 2 fav kits :)

Oh dear. I was trying to cut down too and not it looks like I might need 2. Not sure about getting them shipped together though as customs would love me. Obviously the papers would be different in the hybrid and the trilogy huh? Need to find a way around the customs dilemna...

Papers are completely different which makes it even worst in terms of cutting down!!! I think we have Rob and Bob, CBX and Arctic Frog and of course yummy bellies that go with each kit!!! Sigh! As if I don't have enough papers already!!!!

I guess even if I paid customs it would work out cheaper than paying postage twice or buying the stuff here in the first place. Will keep my eyes peeled!

I leave on the 12th for 8 glorious weeks there... basically I just can't cope with 2 boys on my own for 6 weeks so roping my parents in to help!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: They haven't seen their grandkids for over a year so it will be fun although no doubt they will be thoroughly exhausted by the time we leave! :lol:

I don't think there is any custom limit... alcohol and cigarettes yes but art and craft materials.... doubt very much!!! :D

Yes, I just ordered my trilogy kit and paid for separate postage (dunno if it was an option to post with hybrid kit). I would rather have then sent separately to avoid customs. I get the hybrid and paper/ribbon kit and then add the trilogy would be $62 plus postage so the customs sting wouldn't be cheap. It may work out to just about the same as paying postage twice but it saves me the hassle of having to go to the sorting office to pay and pick up, not to mention the delays when stuff sits in customs :)

Sounds good! I subscribed to trilogy for 6 months but my July was a standalone order. I figure I will see which I like better, Hybrid or Trilogy or both, lol, and decide what to do with my Hybrid membership when it's up for renewal. Think I've got 2 more kits for it, can't remember.

supposedly got a trilogy on the way - but I did get an email last week saying that they'd run out of something or other halfway through the kitting up and there was a delay for the rest whilst they waited for restocks. I guess we're the delayed group!

She did say something about a free gift to compensate for the wait.....

here's the email dated the 14th Jul

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to update you on the status of our Trilogy kit shipping situation. We received the wrong gameboards in our second shipment, so we are being sent a replacement order. We have two orders of the correct gameboards arriving next Wednesday though.
Due to this error, the shipping of some of our Trilogy kits will be delayed by three to four days. We have already started shipping the complete kits we have on hand, and will continue to do so tomorrow. Orders will be shipped in the order they were received.
International customers who have opted to have their Trilogy kit shipped separate from other orders will have their other orders shipped on time. The Trilogy kit will follow separately.
We will be adding a small gift to each of the delayed kits by way of apology for the inconvenience.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

The kits still seem slow though. You would think the hybrid at least would've arrived by now. When do they usually ship, mid month right? It's just odd no one has had a kit. Either they all went surface by accident or she has posted them extra late and didn't let us know. Hope this isn't going to turn into another situation like the SO kits. As it is I have another US kit missing that was posted beginning of the month.

I just emailed Stephanie to ask her to confirm what day the Hybrid was shipped and also the delayed Trilogy kits. Some in the US got their kits as early as the 17th so even with the international factor considered, it's been a tad longer than usual.

OK just heard back from Steph about post dates. Apologies if you all already knew this, lol!

"The internationals went out at the same time as the domestics, with the exception of orders containing the Trilogy. We had a nightmare with 3 of our orders for that kit and the reorder and were just able to get those out this week because of CHA and all of the delays associated with it. But the others were all taken to the post office on the 15th, and should be arriving by now? I don't think the glitter glaze would be a customs problem, but I don't know what else it could be? Everything is out now so it shuld be arriving soon I hope :( "

So, the Hybrid should be here any minute now as it's been 2 weeks and the Trilogy won't be until next week at the earliest!

I have just taken out a 3 month sub on the basis of the lush cherry Arte papers. I have had this kit before for a while last year, I stopped for a while because I wanted to try out a few other kits
When abouts in the month do they usually arrive?

I got both my kits today. Not looked properly but they appear nice at first glance!

Heather scrappy, they usually ship mid month so arrive anytime toward the end of the month. Sometimes there are delays. This month both my kits shipped on the 26th. I knew Trilogy was being delayed due to missing stuff but I've just emailed Steph to work out why my Hybrid wasn't posted on the 15th. I paid postage twice to avoid the customs man so I expect my stuff to be shipped on time :)

I think I have one hybrid kit left and I will let that sub go and keep Trilogy for the 6 months that I've signed up.

Sept kit should be on it's way. There was a late delivery regarding the CBX item and Steph has apologised for the late delivery of the Sept kit on her blog. She should be finishing packing and sending Sept kits now. I guess she hasn't got around to doing Oct kits/admin yet. Give her some time... that poor woman is snowed under literally.

Surprisingly, I think her Oct kit is ready. Chatterbox did mess her about big time so she is quite annoyed with them. You'll probably receive 2 kits this month from Homegrown!

I wouldn't worry Helen. If you're sub was due to start with the Dec kit they're not due to be shipped till 2nd of Jan. I've had a sub for 18 months now and this is the first time I've had a delay on a kit.

So I've emailed Stephanie and waiting to hear back. I don't think the number is trackable in the US according to the USPS website - so don't really know what will happen next. Really unhappy because the doodlegenie was in that kit as well.

Got my March kit today. The box has a huge whole in it and is all bashed. All the papers and the transparency are ruined. RM say they can't deal with int. damages. Hope Steph can sort something out.

Take a picture of it... I'm sure Steph didn't send the box with a hole in it. Somehow en route it must have gotten bashed! Email Steph but I think RM ought to take some blame... if the box wasn't bashed, there wouldn't be internal damages!!!

I would say wait a little longer as sometimes it might be due to postal delay that you get your kit late. Some of the girls here had their Nov kit come in late Jan, probably via surface mail... god knows what really takes place in the sorting office! My Nov kit never arrived! Probably somewhere in Timbuktoo now!!!

Sometimes a kit from the US might take 2-3 weeks to arrive. I had a kit that took about 2 and a half weeks to come. Well, at least it did arrive eventually!

Anybody getting excited about the summer survival kit? Love the concept of 60 projects/ideas to go along with the product. Need all the inspiration I can get!! lol!!!

I haven't signed up to the summer survival, Karen what was the shipping ? seems an awful lot in the box so would be heavy.

Steph hadn't finalised weight when I asked about it a couple of weeks ago but she was estimating around $37 of which she would pay the first $15 so that would be approx $22 if my math is correct, lol, I'm sure she will confirm once she has all the bits to hand to box up properly. She is also offering to send it as 2 parcels if you wanted but that would work out as quite a bit more I would think.

I think for the quantity of yummy stash it sounds okay, my theory being that the bigger the parcel then the less postage per pound of stash!!! LOL Well at least that is how I justify it in my mind!!!

Don't forget if you play along with the April scraplift challenge that you get entered in a draw to win one as well!!! Although I have to say just the amount of layouts I have achieved this month has made it more than worthwhile, feels so good to be finally using all the yummy kits! Have to make room for the Summer Survival Kit!!! :D

Have you seen the pics of what's in the kit? It is in the gallery section, and I just love what Lori has done with the journalling notebook. Never would have thought of using it like that.

Okay I am getting too excited, must go have a little sit down.....:D

There is a lot of projects that you will get for the Summer kit... at least instructions for 30 LOs, some for mini albums/books, a bit of home decor/cards etc. Tons of inspirational stuff. Can't exactly tell you what they are yet cos I don't know myself but hopefully it will inspire you to use your stash and create!

She's thinking of separating the kit and shipping in 2 boxes and putting the wholesale value so that way you won't get caught. What do you all think?!!!
No doubt this means you have to pay shipping twice but bear in mind that if you have to pay custom charges, it's £8 + custom charges (darn Royal Mail have upped their charges as well god knows why!) It would be far cheaper to pay double postage in US$ instead of custom charges in £!

Lesley I know just what you are saying but I did manage to make a small hole in my stash with the April challenges :rolleyes: but need to keep going. Just seem to have been working constantly for a couple of weeks, still, I have some time off this weekend and in early May for a few days so hopefully I can do some more then. I know the CC is this weekend but don't seem to be in the right frame of mind for it to be honest. Possibly something to do with having a grand total of 3 hours sleep in the last 36 hours and that wasn't even consecutive and I am back at work this evening for another 14 hours.:( Think I might be snoozing tomorrow!!!:D

The hybrid kit was shipping for $12.20 but it is going up with the increases in the US postal charges next month, I think it will be about $14. I don't get the trilogy so am not sure what it is but think it is another dollar or 2 more for that one as it is a bigger kit.

I think the value is great and they are always so well co-ordinated. May kits are looking totally delicious as well, I am tempted to get a trilogy as well as I love the look of it. If I had been organised I probably would have got the April trilogy but it sold out before I really looked at it. Maybe just as well for the stash mountain that used to be my living room!:rolleyes:

The summer survival kit does look fab doesn't it? It is the kit with all those bits and pieces in it and 60 days of tutorial/instructions/techniques. So basically you get access to a private part of the forum and every day for 60 days a project is posted by the design team for you to follow or download for later etc. They stay in the forum during the 2 months though so if you are away or can't access internet for a bit you can still find it there and play catch up. I am REALLY excited by it (I'm sure you can't tell.....:lol: )

I've signed up for 3 months of the hybrid kit, could someone tell me roughly how long it takes for them to get to the UK? I've read on their forum that the May kits are being sent out really soon :) It's the first time i've ever ordered a kit so i'm very excited!

Well, so far there hasn't been any complaints about custom charges. Most kit owners put down the wholesale value of the kit as opposed to retail value to help their overseas customers evade custom charges.

Well, i suppose, after thinking about it...calculating the cost of the stash i buy per month...then adding on the p&p as i buy from various retailers....the amount it appears that you get with the trilogy kit would certainly keep me busy for a while...
So there would be no need for too many 'extras'...I may find i save a few pennies!:D

I'm afraid, Steph can't do anything about it. She is required by her law to declare the amount and although she tries her best (i.e putting wholesale amount which makes it cheaper), she can't lie about the value otherwise she will get into trouble. Blame on this country that sticks you with a custom charge if you buy more than £18 worth of stuff from overseas!!! Sometimes you do get away with it but on rare occasions, you get stung by it!
