Thanks so much Theresa.

New thread had to be started girls because it was over 500 posts.
If the threads get too long there is a danger of uks crashing.

Suzanne, I just sent my passport off last Wednesday, I got Gordons birth certificate returned already, I reckon they will be here very soon.
You will definitely have it in time for when you need it.

Never seen a fat trap before Yasmin iam the same as Suzanne, old oil in a coke bottle.
I remember when I was younger staying at my mums I seen a half empty coke bottle deciced I would guzzle out of the bottle, since there was not much left.It only happened to be old oil blech blech:lol:
Serves me right I guess.

Going to Florida in October holidays, not booked it yet,but booking online is def the cheapest. The travel agent was £600 dearer for the exact same holiday.

Here is a link to the newspaper article(most of you have prob seen it now)

I wasnt in the paper but here are some of the ones they took

Dawn I can't find the photo, that link takes you to the general search page and I looked through 8th 9th and 10th but either it's not there or I can't see for looking!

Yeuk at the coke bottle incident. And fingers crossed for the passport too (for both of us!).

Must remember to take out the travel insurance online too. Important!

I read in the paper that sales of holidays to Florida had dropped significantly and there were big bargains to be had. The example given was for a 2* hotel though, no mention of neat villas :) Sounds like you are being a very canny holiday shopper though Dawn.

I've done the journalling for Dawns journal - just need to print it out and print a couple of photos. The pages are pretty much planned so just need to get printing.

Think i have Donna and Janes so will get them done and send Donnas back to her and send Janes home too. Will I just send them home onceI have finished them rather than all waiting to send home at once. I would love to get them away from here before I go on holiday.

I have lots of homework to do for holland pages of question to answer
even draw a potrait of myself eek.
I did get an o grade in Art but havent drawn in years.

Scott said his first exams was easy thats good.
Just 17 to go.

Booked WDW going October but shhh its a secret they dont know yet.
Virgin had 10%off this weekend and offer couldnt pass up.

03-05-2006, 06:42 PM
Dawn what a fab secret, when are you going to tell them?
Not long till you go to holland

Yasmin
04-05-2006, 08:26 AM
Thanks Dawn - you can tell I was too lazy to read back on the previous logs!!

Greta news about your hols...wow bet you can't wait. But how long will you be ale to keep the secret! I remember when we went to Disneyland Paris almost 5 years ago, we didn't tell Hussein & Kaizer until we got to the train station. They jumped up & down for joy.
Where are you staying - a hotel or a villa?
Not long till Holland eh. So what's all this homework business & drawing of pictures? Sounds like I'd have fallen at the first hurdle if I'd gone.

No work today as the school is being used as a polling station..hurray. It's almost 7:30 & I'm the only one up apart from dh who's alreay gone to work. Will have to go wake Hussein soon as he has to go to school.

DawnS
04-05-2006, 10:27 AM
Its for the BG lunchpail album class you have to take lots of photos of various everyday items. Handwrite your answers to question printed on vellum sent to us,draw a potrait of yourself etc etc.

Iam going to keep it a secret until I have the disney pass tickets.
Iam waiting on them going on sale again for £149 each.Virgin was selling them at £184each Scott & Andrew are classed as adults all the time for the fare and disney tickets. We priced going to Mallorca its over £4000 for us too so may as well go to Disney.

We are staying at Sheraton Vistana Village on IDrive a 2 bedroom condo/apartment.Need 2 bathrooms so we can get ready quickly.
It would actually be cheaper staying at a Disney hotel, but wanted the convenience of a fridge and 2 bathrooms.

Yes not long till Holland and I will meet up with Suzanne.
We are all going on the same 8 seater taxi from the airport.

Yasmin
04-05-2006, 12:07 PM
Def agree with you that having an apartment style accomodation is better esp with youngsters.
In Boston we've booked a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. It's got a great wow factor of a spiral staircase in the middle going up to one of the bedrooms.

Really wish I'd been able to come to Holland it sounds like it's gonna be real fun. I wanna see all your los & books that you make.
I shouldn't really moan as I'm away for the weekend with my girlfriends in a couple of weeks. Hotel's not yet booked but it's in London & is going to be a snazzy nite out as it's to celebrate 10 years that we've been together as a group. Going to have a stretch limo to take us around the sights etc.
Then we're away in Switzerland at the end of the month at my sil.
Really need that as at the mo I've been spending nearly every spare minute helping Kaizer get ready for his SATS next week. That's been a bit of a nightmare.:(

Yasmin wow you sound like you're never home. Hope you have fabby trips!

Josh has SATS next week but has been doing bu**er all work at home for them. He knows the stuff I reckon but is generally lazy. I think I need to get him to practice his writing more than anything so the outside examiner can read what he writes! He's desperate to become a member of an online gaming community so that is his reward if he does well so fingers crossed he will pull out all the stops on the actual papers!

Chiara has hers soon too but school are incredibly laid back about them for Y2 so not worrying about them at all.

Dawn ooh sounds fabby holiday! There is no way I would be able to keep that a secret! any links to where you are staying (nosey old me eh?!) love the sound of the condo, it is definitely going to be much more comfortable and flexible for you all.

Have you tried altering a photo of you in the photo editing software Dawn, there is quite often a pencil/line drawing option. I can't draw for toffee, Mia can do better than me!

Diane, looking forward to meeting you at Bonanza. I am doing a Heidi Swapp class and a Rusty Pickle class on the Friday and working make and takes on the Saturday.

Ohh Dawn those villas look lovely - so luxurious esp with the added touch of a spa bath. You'll be needing it after the all that walking!! When do you go?

Just wanted to ask you all how you print off your photos at home. Do you use the printer attached to your pc or do you use an independent photo printer such as Canon or Hp. I'm debating whether or not to get a separate one. thanks.

Yasmin

I'm not always away you know  It just seems like it or is it because I've trained dh so well
Kaizer sounds a bit like Josh - I know he can do the work but just needs a little push to put a bit more effort in. All the year 6 feel as if all they ever do is revision & revision. But they've been promised a relaxing time once the exams are over next week. Kaizer's incentive is to get a new playstation so that seems to working so far.

I'm going to do Dawn's cj this morning, Daniel has playgroup and David will nap so will get photos and journalling printed off and put my pages together. If I get it completed today I'll post it to Jane later this afternoon or hopefully tomorrow morning.

Yasmin - I use my printer attached to the pc for any photos I print at home. Don't print very many, sometimes to change photos in frames around the house or for putting into journals.

fruitysuet
05-05-2006, 11:37 AM
Yasmin no you need your time to enjoy yourself!

I use printers attached to the computer but they both are good with photos (and both are HP, I just love the software that comes with them for printing out different sizes, I can specify to the mm how big to print something). I print most of my own because we don't have dial up (Still, I really must get it sorted) and uploading to an online printing site takes all day just for a few photos.

I'm hoping to try & go next year - I must say that all the classes sounded good.
How many classes did you do? Where you rushing around or was it just a steady pace?

DawnS
23-05-2006, 08:58 AM
Yes the mask was easy to you what you need to do to make it less sticky is to peel it off and stick it onto your jeans this then puts lint onto the mask making it less sticky and easier to work with we then put it down on white cardstock and used chalk ink to over the mask peeled it off and left a very pretty page.
We also used it on a chipboard letter which we had painted green, dimensial paintwas white (dont think it was called paint but cant remember the name for maybe paste??

I will post on here the finished pAGES.
It def was worth going to though.

My brother & girlfriend had a baby girl this afternoon. 7lb 6oz. So a first granddaughter for my parents after 4 grandsons. I'm so excited & can't wait to go & see her. Unfortunately I've got a real bad cough & cold & I don't want the baby to catch it. So it'll have to wait till Mon when we go up for the naming.

I don't know how many cj's you'ce done Lorna but I did about 4 or 5 & to be honest I doubt if I'd ever do one again. And I agree that MOB was one of the best though saying that this All About Me cj is looking pretty good!!!!

Dawn - I so love that flower. Big is good LOL I'm going to have to buy it - which one is it?

Diane - you sure looked as if you were having fun. I always think the natural ones are the best.

Suzanne - are you ok for me to post this on to you?

Jane - where are youuuuu?? Missing u

Great, thanks a bunch Jane, that makes me feel loads better !!!
I'll have to give myself lines .....When you get a cj, get cracking on it sharpish & posted within 2 weeks!!!!
Didn't know you were househunting. Where do you want to move? A bigger house?
I come on here every now & then. I also visit a US site - Scrapmuse where I get my kits from. But life is so hectic now. I work p/t as a teaching assistant so I don't scrap as much as I'd like to.

Lorna I've just been viewing your photos & I adore your lo of Daniel in his kilt!!
You said on there that the star paper was from a scrapgogo kit. What make is the paper?

Yes works' fine. My first year was great - I had lovely kids but this year's class are a bit of a nightmare - probably the worst class in their year!! Plus every 2 weeks when the teachers are on PPA I have to take them in, register them, take them to their drama & music sessions for that day & basically stay with them. But on the whole not to bad. Glad I only do 3 hours a day!!!
Next Fri we break up for 1 weeks hols yippee.
Thanks for the name of the paper. I'll go check out some sites. I did get a load of scenic route in a kit in the summer but it wasn't this paper.

Right better go Headmistress Jane is cracking her whip!!!!!

oh heck forgotten that it wasn't done. I haven't done any cj's for ages, I was getting stressed about trying to think of new ideas and holding things up.

Well according to the photos I took of my entries, I did entries for Yasmin, Dawn, Jane and Diane. So I think that leaves Lorna and Donna for me to do entries for. I never did get around to creating one for myself :D

Just pass them on whenever Yasmin.

Hope things are going well for you all, will be nice to see pictures and read the entries in the last two I have got coming to me.

I don't think you'll have to do Donna's as she pulled out earlier on. Donna's done an entry in Lornas but not in mine.

Sorry Yasmin yes there was a card through the letterbox and I picked it up, erm, yesterday or Monday.

It's fab Lorna, but I doubt I will be able to fit doing something to it until after half term now. Then who should I post to?
