The other thing I could do is take a measure with me and hope nobody sees me measuring. ( I suppose if the are scrappers they may know why!!!)

lol- I wander around shops measuring things like cards - for atcs that is :)- You shouldn't worry about it- you are the customer after all and if they don't meet your requirements then they are not going to sell them :) I sometimes get asked what I'm doing and I always say - I'm seeing if these are the right size for my art project- cos i find it takes too long to explain what an atc is:D

Good thinking Pam!! I know what you mean about explaining ATC's and Scrapping. My DH is still very confused. He said he was OK when I was making cards, but he doesn't see why I spennd time altering clipboards, cards etc. ("Weren't they OK as they were?!"). Never mind he is male!!
I'm off to Costco today. Will let you know if they are the right size.

I made DH stop off in tesco today so i could buy some of the tins of cards people have mentioned on here- he just kept laughing at me- but he was ok when i dragged him into all the charity shops looking for things I could alter- found two lovely wooden boxes ' 2.50 each and a book on decoupage for £1 - he gets that bit of it- the finding cheap stuff that is- but not what i do to them afterwards lol
