just starting to do atc's

hi all, i have just got some football trading cards and a card album so i want to start doing atc's but what can you put on them and where can you buy little things to go on them as i havent got much stash small enough apart from scraps of paper, do they have to be smooth or can you make them with a few little lumps on.:wacko:
hope you all can help me answer these ?'s, which to some may sound daft but i am a atc virgin, lol

look in the threads on this altered art bit- the one that says - resources for atxcs- there are a few links on there that are very helpful - also there is a section in the gallery for atcs and the pictures only thread here will give you some idea of what they look like - as for stash- anything as you can see from the gallery :) some are 3d some are not, some are folded or have windows in them - eyelets, brads, ribbon, string, anything that fits on the card really - including embossing - as long as the card is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches anything goes :)

thanks for the advice, have looked in the gallery and have lots of ideas now, have to persuade my oh to donate some money to my new venture, lol.
