oooooh I said I'd never do another CJ because of time etc... but I'm a big Discworld/Pratchett fan - read every single one of his books (met him too) so I guess I'm fated. (probably a million to one chance :) )

Will pm you with my details

Ok , i know i am going to sound really dumb but what is discworld? I am hopefully looking to join but just wondering if my theme has to be something to do with discworld or just anything i want? Sorry, very new to all of this and i think it is showing big time! hehe

good morning discworlders :) Emma, Linz.. welcome aboard.. i was having nightmares last night that I would end up all on my own :D

Quote of the day
"They say there's dwarf mines under the Ramtops," she said inconsequentially. "My, but them little ******s is in for a surprise."

Hi all! I've just finished reading Monstrous Regiment so I feel I'm back in the mood for TP! Nicky, can we just chose our own topic for this CJ?

Oh sorry I missed the deadline, this sounds interesting. I've never done a CJ, and in fact only just read what one is. However, dh is a BIG diskworld fan. I've even enjoyed a few of the books.

Can I just check something - it says in the first thread (I know the dates need changing) posting every 2 weeks, but then it shows the posting dates as monthly - which is it please (crossing my fingers it's monthly)

Hi there

I would like to join, and I know the dates are going to be changed, but I am on holiday from April 20th to May 2nd - is this a problem? Also, I have no idea how to do a CJ based on fiction but will have a look in the gallery and give it a go :D

hi girls.. oh wyrdthing.. glad to have you with us {{{huggles}}} its getting exciting now :)

re. the posting dates.. i think that something got mixed up somewhere along the line.. i had originally requested this thread a couple of months back.. so the very first post can be safely disregarded :D we will agree on posting dates etc. as soon as we have our final numbers....
I would defintely suggest monthly... 2 weeks can cause too much panic.. and there wont be any of THAT in this cj :D we are gonna have FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Bearing in mind that a lot of us have rugrats at home, the cc is happening YAY and some of us are doing other cjs as well at the minute.. i would suggest that we make our first initial posting date first week in may some time to allow for kiddies to go back to school, peeps to get back of holidays (u lucky thang u) and enough time to actually make a nice journal....

Then after that we carry on first week of each month for next postings.. does that sound agreeable to everyone??? do holler if you have a different suggestion...

As for formats.. i would say we stick to anything but NO bigger than a5.. i got an a4 sized cj in the past.. it was HUGE..lol... but again, it is open for discussion...

Any questions, please contact me and ill try and answer or find out... i will be collecting some links for everybody over the next few days and updating here ...

Is it too late to join? Do you pick a theme, book, character?

soooooooooooooooooo difficult for me to resist this one - I'm just like Linz, have bought and read repeatedly everything the man has ever written, and also met him a few times (isn't he lovely) - but I'm already in 4 CJs and have been promising myself that I will STOP OVER COMMITTING!

so I'm going to have to, reluctantly, step AWAY from the CJ!

I can't wait to see what you all do though. And I might pop onto this thread from time to time just to say hi and generally be an annoying hanger on....

Sarah

PS if any of you have not yet discovered Jasper Fforde, you must try his books - make sure you read them in order though or they make no sense at all - the only author I like more than Mr P :)
