There will be one group of 10 people.

Details
Description:
We each print out or draw our own doll. I will give a link to a doll you can print out if you would like to.

I am going to put my own face on my doll, but you could put any face that you wanted, ie a photograph or just a drawn face on.

Then we would make one set of clothes for our own doll, plus accessories if wanted and send the doll to the next person in the circle.
The doll will work it's way around the circle and come home at the end with lots of new clothes.

Vicki, if you want tabs on your clothes that will be fine.

It would be a good idea to send a note with your doll to say what you would like.

It can include things such as, tabs to hold clothes on, colours that you would prefer, styles that you like or dislike.

I'm going to make my doll some traveller clothes and accessories so she is dressed properly for the start of her journeys to get her new wardrobe.

I've just ordered this die, which I have been lusting after for ages, it will be perfect for my dolls travels.

love that site, brad pitt was a big hit, dp liked whats her face from dark angel (show how much attention i pay) but hey my dolls finished just got to finish covery bit your challenge will be to revamp my fairy using your favourite techniques!

top tip ive just used velcro dots on my doll made it look like bra and knickers but should be easier than tabs.

Great idea! My doll is called Olivia( see thumbnail) and is going to have 9 styles for you to choose from! I just have to decide which one to take as the 10th.:)

Olivia looks great Laura.

Chris, it is fine to make your own. You will get your own doll back in the end, so as long as you are happy with it, that is fine.

You will end up making 10 sets of clothes.

The first set is for your own doll, it will go with her when she is posted so she is not naked lol.

Then you will get a doll sent to you by the person above you in the list. You will dress that doll and post it to the person below you on the next posting dats.

So every three weeks you will get a new doll.

It might sound confusing, but once it starts it should just fall into place. You can also ask us here if you need to know anything.

Well, im glad to say that i have made a start on my doll!!!!:P
It is actually more difficult than it looks, isn,t it?....i got in a right old state when making her clothes, but i now have a set, ready to colour along with some pyjamas for her journeys.:D
She aint your average girl, but i will let you see her when she arrives at your homes........:P
Im not sure whether or not to cut her out again though, as even though she is cut from quite stiff card-doubled, she still seems quite flimsy....:unsure:

Willow, I'm thinking of laminating my doll to make her a bit stronger. If you don't have a laminator, you could do a "Blue Peter", and use sticky backed plastic on both sides.

i have just about finished my doll- the basics anyway.
need to cut out clothes and colour a bit.
Went a bit crazy and re-did my doll! I wasn't happy with my first attempt and there were a few 'mistakes' on her so me being a perfectionist, just couldn't not do a new one!!!:rolleyes:
Anyway im happy with the 2nd one, and have completed her 'travelling case'.
im having lots of fun with this cj, and am looking forward to recieving everyone elses doll for comparison.:D

I printed out a picture of a doll that I found online. I then put a picture of my head on it.

If you check my first post on this thread there are some sites that have pictures.

Also, someone posted a great site on this thread where you can dress famous people, you could copy one of them.

i made doll ages ago as for her book well keep changing mind, she had a deigner wardrobe (julian mcdonald make up box!!!) then she had a book which ended up looking naff as i forgot her wings were so big, then i did a catwalk which looked fab but would cost too much to post!!! back to drawing board

The bank has taken ALL my money and refused to give it back as i am over my limit! So i have not had money and therefore have not been able to afford postage!............
Have emptied the change bottle!Luckily, there was £105 quid in 2's and 1's!!!!!So that is our shopping money for the week:D

Honestly, she is all ready to go, i have literally had no money.

I was shattered on Sunday after Bonanza.

I had to go to London on Monday as my Mum had 3 appointments at the hospital.

I played catch up yesterday, so I finally had time to get online properly today.

i must say ive had a nice 'break' as was stressed enough with coursework but i have missed making the little dolly clothes its quite therapeutic!
I actually keep bumping into my mate that i used to swap paper dolly clothes with, i hadent seen her for years prior to starting this cj and now she work in ribbon shop, she did think it was strange when i said what we were doing, but hey keeps us young at heart LOL
