ATC Chat Thread - April (not sure where micheal is ,but im sure he wont mind me helping by setting up these threads)

Please delete ATCs as they go and upload new ones in the same post if possible then the thread wont get too long and you can find it from this link.

This thread is now the only chat thread, it combines both the Trade chat thread and the Monthly Swap chat thread. Hopefully that will make it easier to find peoples posts, and save looking through multiple threads.

The tracker thread will keep running to enable you to detail your sent and received monthly swaps.

I am sorry yours went missing they do quite a lot but sometimes they appear weeks later.

I try to post my atcs straight away so I dont forget so if you have not recieved them within say a week they must be missing and please ask as I would rather send a re[placement like culpeper so please say if they dont arrive.

It is a no win situation if no one says they have not arrived the sender does not know they didn't arrive.

I think that is why the post office get away with so much as people dont like to complain.

Don't worry, they may well turn up yet. A few weeks ago my neighbour called round with a small envelope that was addressed to me. Her daughter had found it on her path in the snow! Thank goodness it wasn't ruined.

for those of you not in the Samba Krewe - I just want to bring you up to date with my ATC situation - I have already PMd a few people who I have sent ATCs to to explain. I have sent off lots of parcels recently including ATCs to:

magikae
winterbaby
jay
culpepper
3 mardi gras

but not to newtothis or lesleygee

As far as I know at least 9 parcels have gone missing and at least two have been interfered with (sliced open at the side). I am obviously taking this up with the PO as are the recipients of the sliced open parcels.

The reason I am saying this is to ask for your patience whilst I make replacement ATCs. I have changed the PO I use and recent parcels have got through (I feel like I am under seige!).

Obviously i feel really bad about this - when I send your atc I will PM you and please could you PM me when you receive it ir if it has not arrived in three days. If you have ANY suspicion it has been opened please let me know.

The feeling is, at the RM and on the samba thread is that someone is thinking these are credit cards!

What a nuisance it all is, isn't it. We can't even send little cards safely through the post - I think the problem is getting worse - I have recently had 2 family letters not delivered - both with photos in - of no value to anyone else. So annoying ;)

In a US group i belong to i notice that cards are placed inside a blank (birthday) card and this also protects the ATC's. I am now going to start using this method when I mail and recycle the cards used as protection.

OK - i have spent a gorgeous afternoon up to my eyes in metallic paints, alcohol inks, stazon and embossing powder to name just a few! So I have managed to make enough to get the replacement ATCs out - actually i think these are nicer lol so the horrible thief has done you (if not me!) a favour lol

So Winterbaby and Jay - your cat expressions are done - Culpepper I have also packaged one of these up for you.. and there are two more in the series to trade

Lesleygee your flowers is done, Culpepper and Newtothis I have packaged these up for you too - that series is now finished

Newtothis and Iggywiggy - I have packaged up a "seasons "ATC for you and there are three others in that series

My first ones where stamped so I got 9 from an A4 sheet:)

I'm flying to Denver via Chicago (cos its cheaper lol) staying a few nights in denver- where there are apparently 11 scrapping shops- i have a map :) then off to Manitou Springs for white water rafting / horseriding / lots of cowboy type stuff :) - and there are two or three scrapping shops in Colorado Springs too lol

jeans are cheaper over there- and i intend only buying bargains (the exchange rate is good at the moment) or stash you can't get over here :) - like those wall hanger thingies :) also have to measure DS' feet as he takes a size 15 and I can hardly get shoes for him here but they have loads over there. DH (Baggins) will probably give me a list before i go *waves @ DH*

Loads and loads of photos to scrap tho- and I always take my 'old fashioned' camera too :)
