Well, as the UK isn't concerned about Thanksgiving, there is a clear shot to Christmas now! First, a quick and easy Christmas card on the Banana Frog blog. What could be simpler and nospecial Chrstmas stamps needed! Ideal if you have 100s of cards to make as the kids can get in on the production thay are that easy but still cute and very effective. A more complex but lovely card at FiddleFart .
Check out the frosty photo edging from Picnik on IACW, and the little felt gift card holder by Joy. A free class from ScrapDolly (seen on the IACW blog previously) for an altered lunch tin . Very sweet. And a host of goodies from Deborah at Jimmy'sRabbit. First a cute advent minibook (with instructions) and a post with many Cyber Crop projects. For altered art, I loved Carmen's Fantasy Film Swap project featuring the movie Labyrinth on Whoopidooings. Scrapbooking embellishments? See Glitttery Katie's Bombshell Buttons . Love them! And a great layout from Crafty Beast. Love the woodgrain. And more lovely exploding boxes from Voodoo Vixen. A Naughty Or Nice freebie from Louise at Scrapbook Printables I enjoyed reading the blog entry musing on letter writing on JaneH's The Happy Papercrafter . You may, too. |

Happy Thursday Scrappers! It's time for a new challenge... SCRAP WITH LEAVES OR TREES! Your layout can be about anything you like, just make sure there are leaves or trees (or both!) in either the photos, the story or the embellishment on your page! Easy enough? I've included one of my favourite layouts with a tree below. We have a PRIZE this week too! It's from the lovely people at Gotta Craft! Make sure to upload your page to the gallery by the end of next Wednesday with 'Week 47' in the title so your page can be entered to win the drawing! Last week's winner is now online, along with wrap-ups from weeks 45 and 46, so check it out to see if you have won! Happy Scrapping!

Afternoon everyone ! Sorry for the lateness of this challenge, but i've only just got in from work ! Your challenge this week is REGRETS. Have you made a decision that you later regretted ? Have you done something that at the time seemed right, but later on thought ... maybe I shouldn't have done that ? I tend to be the type of person that once I have made a decision, I stick to it, even if its turns out that I was wrong. However, when thinking about this weeks challenge, I thought how often we scrap about the happy times, the happy things/events that have happened in our lives - and more often than not, we don't scrap the things that hurt or subjects that are difficult to scrap. Soooooo this will be quite a difficult challenge. To open ourselves up, and to be honest to ourselves. I am going to scrap my page in the next few days - and then I'll probably hide it because the feelings that I journal will be MY feelings, not anyone else's and will be private to me - and you lot for a week !!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE PHOTOS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO. I would like you to add journalling - whatever genre is best for yourself - 10 points I would like total honesty - 10 points AND finally .... lets finish off with a bird .... for hope ! 10 points I really look forward to seeing your entries, and mine will be added to this post on completion. Thank you for taking part in my challenge. xx |

A nice rounded font, that would work well for journaling and even OK for an understated title, big if cut, but I think it could be great on a digi page as well. Another DeviantArt goodie, a great source for differnt new fonts. |

I love how they look made from scrapbook papers. Some of these, made small, could work as Christmas tree decorations or go over battery operated lights (note any safety instructions!) - or you can think ahead to New Year's Eve!
Step-by-step with photos Also good, with a slightly different shape demonstrated by adding an extra fold Multi-layer paper lantern (with vellum layer) Making simple paper lanterns (with image) Text only instructions for Box and Clylinder lanterns Folded lanterns - making a grid of creases to create a very 3D sort of lantern (with good illustrations) Very pretty folded paper lantern - actually designed to be used over a lightbulb (and do note the safety considerations!) Quite complicated instructions for a Star Lantern on Expert Village which uses waxed paper (this is in multiple parts - Hopefully the link will show all the parts!) Pleated round paper lanterns (like those seen on St Martin 's day) PDF to download for square lantern - this requires popsicle sticks, glue and tissue paper - interesting, but probably not best suited to scrapbooking supplies! And the download screen is one with advertising pop-ups so be careful what you click! |
